Information we process
Depending on how you use the service, this may include your email address, display name, encrypted password credential, account and gameplay activity, puzzle attempts, competition results, support messages, device/session identifiers, and payment or subscription status. Stripe processes payment details directly; MyPuzzles does not receive full card details.
Why we use it
We use information to create and protect accounts, provide games and paid access, validate fair competition results, maintain security, answer support requests, meet legal obligations, prevent fraud, and—only with consent—measure anonymous visit and puzzle-use statistics.
Cookies, local storage, and advertising
MyPuzzles uses essential cookies and local browser storage for secure sessions, necessary service state, and theme preferences. Optional first-party analytics starts only after consent. When Google AdSense is enabled for an eligible visitor, Google and other third-party advertising vendors may place or read cookies, use web beacons, or process IP addresses and browser information to serve and measure ads under their own policies. Administrators, active premium users, Competition play, protected routes, and an owner-exempt browser do not receive MyPuzzles ad slots.
Sharing and retention
We share data only with service providers needed to operate MyPuzzles, including hosting, email, Stripe payment services, and—when enabled for an eligible visitor—Google advertising services, or where law requires it. We retain data for as long as needed for the stated purpose, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and security. First-party analytics raw data is retained for up to 90 days; aggregate reporting may be retained longer.
Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability where applicable. You may also withdraw optional analytics consent at any time through Privacy settings. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
Security and international transfers
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet service is completely risk-free. Processing may occur outside your country; where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
